Spicy Mango Chutney
There’s mango chutney and then there’s mango chutney. If you like something with a bit more of a kick to partner your curry, then this is the one for you. The addition of chillies and other spices means this chutney has a pleasant heat to it, while not overpowering the delicious mango flavour.
Chutney originates from India and is made from combining fruit or vegetable with spices, an acid and a sweetener. Rather than sugar, the main preservative in chutneys is vinegar. All of Jam Packed chutneys take several hours to cook and should be allowed to mature for at least six weeks before eating to allow the flavours to blend and mellow, producing the characteristic rich fruity flavour. There are no added artificial flavours, preservatives or sweeteners.
Ingredients: Mango, apple, onion, sugar, distilled malt vinegar (from Barley), stem ginger, spices, salt

All preserves are lovingly hand-stir in small batches in open pans. The story began in 2006. From an allotment that had a large stand of autumn raspberries that produced a glut of fruit. Wanting to avoid food waste Sue telephoned her Mum and asked how to make jam. The rest is history!
